Why scheduling ahead works better than remembering
Most late birthday gifts aren't forgotten—they're postponed. You notice the date three weeks out, decide to deal with it later, and later turns into the night before. Scheduling turns that intention into a finished task while you're still thinking about it.
Booking early also gives you better options. Next-day shipping is expensive and limited; a gift booked weeks ahead can travel by normal shipping and still land on time.
How birthday gift scheduling works on Daymark
The process is the same whether the birthday is next month or next summer:
- Add the person and their birthday. Their address can be saved once and reused.
- Pick a gift: The Flower Edit, The Sweet Edit, The Candle Edit, or The Handwritten Note.
- Write a short message. We include it with the gift.
- Review the estimated arrival window—three days before the birthday through the day itself—and the total.
- Approve. Your card is charged when you confirm, and the gift shows under Planned gifts in your account.
How far in advance can you schedule?
Up to 365 days. That means you can book a whole year of family birthdays in one sitting, or schedule a gift the moment you hear about a friend's milestone.
If you book close to the date, Daymark tells you before you pay when the gift may arrive after the birthday. We'd rather you know than hope.
What you approve, and what Daymark does
You approve every purchase. Saving a birthday or a favorite gift is not permission to charge your card, and Daymark never sends a gift you didn't confirm.
Once you approve, Daymark handles the rest: preparing the gift, adding your note, shipping it within the US, and emailing you when it ships. If plans change, you can cancel for a full refund up to seven days before the arrival window starts.
A note on seasonal gifts
Our featured gifts rotate every season. When you schedule a birthday in a later season, you're booking that category—for example, The Flower Edit—and we'll send the selection featured when it ships. We don't promise the exact product you see today for a date months away.

Can I schedule a birthday gift months in advance?
Yes. Daymark lets you schedule a gift up to 365 days before the birthday. You pay when you confirm, and we ship it to arrive in the estimated window before the date.
When am I charged for a scheduled gift?
When you confirm the booking. You see the gift, note, address, arrival window and total first.
Can I cancel a scheduled birthday gift?
Yes. Cancellations get a full refund up to seven days before the arrival window starts.
Do you guarantee delivery on the birthday itself?
No. We give an estimated arrival window from three days before the birthday through the day itself, and we tell you before you pay if a late booking may arrive after it.
